Allen Clay Tile was founded by Ethen Allen, not the patriot or any connection to the furniture manufacturer, in 1955. The company was located in Indianapolis, IN at the north-east corner of Hamilton Avenue and East Washington Street (2100 Block) on the ground floor of a three or four story red brick Odd Fellows Lodge. The natural effect achieved by these wall and floor tiles can give any kind of room, new or remodelled, the by now almost forgetten touch of the Romanisque.
